Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the beautiful Kane Valley
About Kane Valley Trails
The Nicola Nordic Ski Club maintains over 50 km of groomed trails in the beautiful Kane Valley, just 18 km south of Merritt, BC. Situated at a base elevation of 1160 metres (3800 feet), the timbered valley provides ideal Nordic skiing conditions with dry snow and comfortable winter temperatures.
Established by local volunteers working with the BC Forest Service, these trails have been maintained solely by our volunteer-run club for over 15 years. Our trails follow old logging roads and skid trails through open timber and across natural grassy slopes.
All membership and trail fees go directly towards grooming operations and year-round trail and shelter maintenance.
