Quentin and I scouted out Mount Moe’s snowshoe trail on Friday with the intention of clearing away any blown down and provide some feedback as to the integrity of the trail.
Given that the snow conditions consisted of hard pack snow trail that was icy in spots and bare ground in others, the optimum choice of footwear is good hikers with ice cleats

The first 3/4 of the trail is in pretty good condition albeit about 1/2 dozen trees and such that needed to be cleared away. The last 1/4 the trail is completely bare and rocky, hence one wearing snowshoes would have some challenges

We did did experience a weee bit of the snowfall at the beginning of our trek , but the snow stopped shortly after.

Will continue to check the other trails and report back to this site, but sturdy boots and ice cleats seem to be the choice currently

take care
